Description
This Thermo Scientific HERAcell Vios 160i C02 Laboratory Incubator was removed from a university lab as it developed a fault. The lab reported it has a small leak.
The unit powers on and has been tested with a digital thermometer. It has not been tested with CO2 connected at our site but we were assured the CO2 functions do actually work.
We set the temperature to 37˚C which is reached after about an hour, and then the max of 55˚C. It reached 54.8˚C.
We had our engineer assess the unit who reported that it is likely some corrosive material has degraded a pipe causing the small leak - he could not see an immediately obvious source of leak, but suspects the problem would not be apparent until 4-5 days of running the unit.
Therefore the unit is sold as spares/repairs.
It is in reasonably good cosmetic condition but the door handle has snapped off. The door opens and closes fine.
