Description
This Thermo MaxQ SHKE4000-1CE Benchtop Orbital Shaking Incubator was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.
The unit powers up and has been tested to shake up to 500rpm which is the max. It works fine although it gets a little noisy at full speed. The gas struts could do with being replaced, as they no longer hold the lid up.
It has been tested at 37deg C and the maximum of 60deg C. It had no problems hitting these temperatures.
When it was re-tested it will no longer switch on. When you press the switch you can hear it clicking but we think the shaker motor is probably tripping the breakers.
It seems to be intermittently faulty as sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It is being sold for spares or repairs.
