HGV Class 2 Driver and Warehouse Operative Dumfries
Class 2 HGV Driver and Warehouse Operative
Job Summary
We are seeking a hardworking, reliable and professional Class 2 HGV Driver and Warehouse Operative to join our small but fast-growing team in Dumfries.
This is a varied dual role combining HGV driving, specialist equipment removals and general warehouse duties.
Driving days will typically involve travelling to universities, hospitals, laboratories and other organisations across the UK to collect scientific, technical and commercial equipment. You will work alongside another member of the Collections team to remove, palletise, load and safely transport equipment back to our warehouse.
The role is physically demanding, and driving days can involve early starts, late finishes and occasional overnight stays. However, we offer flexibility on non-driving days, including the opportunity to take time off in lieu or work shorter days where contracted hours have already been completed.
The position is ideally suited to an experienced Class 2 driver who wants a more varied and engaging role than conventional multidrop or depot-to-depot driving.
The contracted hours for this position are 40 hours with opportunity for overtime. Salary is £14.50 - £16.00 per hour, depending on experience. This position will be subjected to a 6-month probationary period.
