This system is complete and being sold on behalf of a university lab as surplus to requirements. It has now been packed up by our lab removals team and is stored at our site. Viewings are welcome.

This microscope has an inverted stand (Leica DM IRE2).

For excitation, it is equipped with an Argon ion laser and two HeNe lasers giving lines at 458, 476, 488, 514, 543 and 633 nm.

Emitted fluorescence can be collected between 350 and 850 nm using three standard photomultiplier tubes with emission controlled by an AOTF, the latter also allowing spectral analysis across the whole range in 5 nm increments.

The forms of transmitted light detection available include brightfield, phase and DIC (dependent upon the objective).

Types of experiment include Z-stack, time series, FRAP and FRET.

Objectives are:

Air objectives - 10x (0.3 NA), 40x (0.75 NA), 63x (0.7 NA, corr.);

Oil objectives – 25x (0.75 NA), 40x (1.25 NA) and 63x (1.4 NA).

The microscope stand is mounted on an active, vibration-isolation table, and the system is controlled with Leica LCS software running on a WinXP computer.

The microscope table is about 80x80x80cm. The monitor table is about 80x100x80cm. The source unit is about 80x120x80.
