Nikon Eclipse Ti-E Motorised Inverted Microscope System
This system was removed from a university laboratory where it was surplus to requirements.
All components are in good used cosmetic condition.
The system was set up and powered on successfully, excluding the laser components. The microscope connects reliably to the PC and is fully controllable via the installed Nikon NIS Elements software.
The Andor camera appears highly sensitive to the microscope’s halogen lamp. While all core features function correctly and there are no clear faults.
The previous owner stated it was in working order prior to decommissioning in 2022.

This system was removed from a university laboratory where it was surplus to requirements.
The LSM 710 Elyra PS.1 combines an inverted laser scanning confocal microscope (LSM 710) with the Elyra PS.1 superresolution platform, enabling structured illumination microscopy (SIM), photoactivated localization microscopy (PALM), and stochastic optical reconstruction microscopy (STORM). It provides imaging at 10–100 nm resolution down to the single molecule level.
The system is equipped with Zen 2012 software, a motorised X/Y stage, definite focus, and TIRF mode, allowing for tiling, multiposition acquisition, time-lapse imaging, FRAP, and FRET. An on-stage environmental chamber with a 35 mm petri dish adaptor, linked to a CO₂/N₂ controller, supports live cell imaging including hypoxic conditions. An offline data processing workstation is also included.

The microscope connects to the PC and communicates successfully. The Meta software displays CAN errors on startup, which appear to be due to the lasers not being connected. The microscope was plugged in but did not power up, potentially indicating a fault within the unit or a blown bulb. The Class 3B laser unit was only visually inspected and was not powered on or tested due to safety precautions. The LSM 510 META unit also remained untested, as the necessary power supply is not supplied. Access to the PC was restricted due to password protection, preventing verification of software functionality, and during internal review, the connection layout between the laser and microscope could not be confirmed.
