Leica CTR 6000 TCS SP5 Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope

This system was removed from a laboratory where it was surplus to requirements.

The system powers on, with all units functional, including the stage and light sources.

According to the previous owner, the system features a Leica SP5 confocal with 3 PMT and 2 hybrid detectors, along with an FCCS system that includes 2 SPAD detectors. The filters for the detectors are beginning to delaminate and will need replacing. The SP5 computer is relatively new and has been updated to Windows 10. A full environmental chamber for temperature and CO2 control is also included.

This system was removed from a university where it was surplus to requirement.

All units are in good cosmetic condition and powered up, we are unable to test them fully at our facility.

There is a fault with the interlock microswitch in the microscope, thus preventing the unit from recognizing the laser being present.

The previous client has stated that other than the fault stated, it is in full working order.

Has Argon-ion laser, HeNe red, HeNe green and LED 405nm fitted.

The lab it was removed from confirmed it was in working order prior to removal but were unable to supply the software.

All parts power on and appear to be in working condition. The control unit and emergency stop button are working correctly. The stage control appears to be working correctly with a smooth motor. Only the cables shown are included.

The system is in good cosmetic condition, but the rubber foot ends are crumbling.

There is no software included with the system.

This Zeiss LSM 510 Meta Confocal High Resolution Microscope System was removed from a university lab as it developed a fault. The university reported:

"We have a confocal microscope (Zeiss LSM510 Meta) which we are hoping to sell. It powers up but doesn’t fully work, there must be a loose connection somewhere but I don’t have the time or space to work out where."

The units are all generally in reasonable used cosmetic condition. All parts do power up individually but we could not get the system to run either. We believe there should be a PC containing software that we do not have.

The system is sold for spares/repairs.

Leica SP5 and HP Z620 Workstation System with NEC Monitors - For Parts or Repair

This system was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.

The setup primarily consists of components from a Leica SP5 system but is currently non-operational and intended for spares or repairs.

This collection of equipment is in need of significant repairs, especially the electrical connections, as noted from the site that "Electrics are bust."

Included Equipment;

NEC MultiSync LCD 1990SXi Monitors (2 units): Dual monitors that are part of the system.

HP Z620 Workstation PC Tower: Includes a keyboard and mouse but does not have HDDs. It retains PCi cards for the Leica system.

Leica SP5 Unit: The operational condition is uncertain. It suffers from severe damage to the umbilical cable, with various wires cut, which affects its functionality.

Leica Microsystems CMS TCS SP5 Control Table: Comes with a table, but similar to the SP5 unit, it has umbilical cables that have been severed.

Leica Exhaust Unit: Forms part of the ventilation system for the Leica SP5.

Leica TCS SP 2 Confocal Microscope System - PC Comms Fault Lab

This Leica TCS SP 2 Confocal Microscope System was removed from a university lab due to a fault.

The university reported "Apparently it was a computer issue, in that the computer failed and would no longer talk to the confocal and nothing could be done to remedy the issue since Leica wont support it, I’m told the actual microscope and lasers are fine (if old!)"

From our assessment, the microscope appears to be fully working and it could be split from the main system and used on its own. The controllers etc for the automated stage also appeared to work fine. It is just the AOBS head and control system that doesn't want to communicate with the PC.

The system has been fully connected up at our facility. We have replaced the PCi card but that did not generate any success either.

When starting the Leica PC program it shows the following message:

"AOBS Crystal Ctrl (2)" reports 0 unlocked PLL channel(s)! Please lock channel(s) or reset controller.

The AOBS is the scanner head which is attached to the main control desk. We have also tried the system with another identical head that we have in stock. That gave us exactly the same result.

It is sold for spares/repairs.

Please note that the marble table in the photos was retained by the lab.

All units are in good used cosmetic condition but they do have various signs of general use.

The system consists of:

1 x Bio-Rad Radiance 2000 Laser Scanning System.

1 x Bio-Rad Motorised Focus Unit.

1 x Bio-Rad Optical Unit.

All of the rubber on the wheels of the Radiance has broken off. The wheels do still roll though.

The Bio-Rad Radiance 2000 powers up fine, but was not tested any further.
