This Thermo Finnigan Trace GC System was removed from a university laboratory where it was surplus to requirements.

All the units are in good, used cosmetic condition, and all power up. We were unable to test them further than this, however.

The system comes supplied without a detector. The ECD one that was inside has been retained by the lab.

The system consists of:

1 x Finnigan Trace GC Ultra With TriPlus AS Autosampler.

1 x Thermo TP100 Sampler Supply

It also comes with some spares and cables.

The unit is in good used cosmetic condition. It powers up fine and the oven heats.

The fan is very very noisy. We presume the bearings have gone in it.

It also comes with a Thermo Finnigan AS2000 Autosampler and C.U. Controller. The controller powers up.

Various cables are also included including a spare fan.

These were removed from a university lab where they were surplus to requirements.

The unit is in good cosmetic condition but has some marks from use.

The GC powers up and the oven heats. We however couldn't seem to get the autosampler to work despite it being connected up. It was not tested further. The lab manager informed us that the unit was working when it was last used, though this was over a year ago.

The system also comes with Galaxie software discs, manuals and some spares.

This Varian CP-3800/3380 Gas Chromatograph GC System & Model 8400 Autosampler was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.

The information plate suggests this system was built in 2004.

The GC powered on and completed self-calibration with no issues. The oven was tested at 200C and measured at that with our digital thermometer (thermometer not included in the sale). The autosampler also powered on with the main unit and went through self-calibration. It was not tested further.

It is in good condition with only minor marks from use.

The unit powers up and the fan and oven run. We tried to test the oven with a digital thermometer (not included). We set it to 37, 100, 200 and 300 but the temperature shoots up and then begins to drop. Around 150C it smelled like burning so it wasn't tested higher than that.

The unit was not tested further.

It is in reasonably good cosmetic condition but the fine dial for col temp has been snapped off.
