It has been professionally serviced and deemed to be in full working order, a brief summary of the report is below:

The workstation powers on, initializes successfully, and is in working order. Motion checks for the Varispan, barcode reader, gripper, Peri pump, and syringe pumps were completed without errors. However, tip pick-up and liquid level sensing could not be verified as no tips or system liquid are included. The unit is currently secured with shipping clamps in place.

This Thermo Scientific Matrix Hydra II Automated Liquid Handling System was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.

The system is in good cosmetic condition with marks from use. All modules power up.

We had a service engineer inspect and test this system after setting up and connecting all the electronic connectors but not the pipes.

The 1-channel nanofill mechanism was stuck so they took it apart and lubricated it. It's now working fine and can be controlled by the PC. The matrix stage is working fine and can be controlled by the PC but the dispenser is not working.

The Hydra pump Module: They have changed the two fan guards with better ones and cleaned the fan. Now they are looking better. This module is working fine and communicates with the PC as normal.

We can run test protocols but from time to time we got some error messages. I think that because the fact we have not used any liquid and the system sends feedback when the liquid passed through some parts.

This Beckman Coulter Biomek NXp Laboratory Automation Workstation was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.

Everything powers up and the system is in good cosmetic condition with some marks from use.

There appears to be an issue with at least one of the injectors. When we attempt to 'home' the robot head it will start to home the various parts, then stall and with an error code

'error homing: Y2 Axis error: Motion error; the axis was unable to perform the specified move. (0100)

We believe the issue is with the #2 injector side-to-side motor. The up-and-down motor appears to run well.

This error makes it impossible to home the system. So it could not be tested any further.

This Beckman Coulter Biomek 4000 Liquid Handler Laboratory Automation Workstation is being sold on behalf of a university. It is surplus to requirements.

The system is in full working order. It was purchased by the university in 2014 as part of a special package for £45k+VAT. We have the original PO documentation details all parts etc.

The system is still at the universities site, but we are able to arrange delivery including international delivery. If you require anything from the instrument such as sample runs etc please let us know.

The item powers on but is unable to be tested further without software.

The item is in a reasonable, used cosmetic condition with marks and scuffs.

This Beckman Coulter Biomek 4000 High Precision Liquid Handling System was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.

All the units are in very good used cosmetic condition but they do have various signs of general use.

The system has been powered up and connected to the PC. We were able to get the head to go to the home position and all of the bays using the Biomek 4.1 software. It seems to be working as intended.

The lab also said it was fully operational prior to removal.
