Oxford Diffraction Gemini A Ultra XRD System with Oxford Cryosystems Cobra & Ricor Cryodrive

This system was removed from a facility where it was surplus to requirements.

The system is approximately 20 years old, although the detector and electronics were reportedly refurbished around 4–5 years ago under a service contract.

The system was reported to be in working order when last used, approximately 18 months prior to its removal from service.

A minor issue was reported with the solenoids, which are believed to require cleaning. Some corrosion has also been identified, suspected to have been caused by water exposure.
