Description
This Bio-Rad PTC-100 Thermal Peltier Cycler Model - PTC1196 was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.
We were assured this unit was in good working oder.
At our site, the unit powers up and has been tested with a digital thermometer. It was set to run at both 37˚C and 99˚C. Our thermometer was slightly out, but it heated to and held at both temperatures our thermometer is not precisely calibrated so the error could easily be in the thermometer, or positioning of the probes - or the unit may require calibrating. We have not looked into it further.
It is in reasonably good cosmetic condition but has some marks from use.
The Heating Block has 96 x 4.30mm tube wells.
