Description
This unit was removed from a university lab during a clearout.
The tank was mounted underneath a lead-lined reactor for radioactive materials studies.
The reactors had not been used for over 10 years, before being decomissioned by the lab. The units were all assessed for radioactive contamination and confirmed as cleared of radiation by the university safety office.
We have not tested the tank with liquid nitrogen, but it was working when last used - however that would have been over 10 years ago. Similarly with the detector.
Canberra tank & Ortec DSpec LF.
Fitted with Ortec AMETEK-AMT. And Ortec detector interface module.
DSpec has been connected to the tank and powered up but has not been tested further.
