Armfield Research Wave Flume with HR Wallingford Wave Paddle & Controller + Global Platforms Gantry Access System

This equipment is being offered on behalf of a client and originates from surplus laboratory assets.

The system consists of an Armfield Research Wave Flume (Ref AL18597) fitted with an HR Wallingford wave paddle and controller (Panel ID CQR5365 HRFL0101/A, Campus Tag 7833) and an associated overhead Wave Flume Access Platform / gantry manufactured by Global Platforms Ltd (manufactured 25/02/2016, Drawing No. GP/SU/5204 Rev B). The facility has been used in a controlled laboratory environment for experimental work in coastal and marine hydrodynamics, including wave–structure interaction and sediment transport studies.

The equipment was installed and operated as part of Swansea University’s marine laboratory facilities and is now being removed from service following operational requirements changing.

Collection is available from Swansea University Bay Campus, Fabian Way, Swansea, SA1 8EN. Due to the size and complexity of the system, specialist dismantling, lifting, and transport will be required. Further details can be provided upon request.
