Description
This Barnstead Lab-Line MaxQ 4000 Incubator Shaker Model - SHKE4000-1CE was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.
The unit powers up and is working. It has been assessed by an engineer who replaced the lid struts and fitted a new drive belt.
The only issue is the main power button on the front of the unit doesn't appear to work. This does not affect the operation of the unit at all. It just needs to be switched on and off at the main supply. \th button is stuck in the on position.
The incubator function was tested with a digital thermometer (not included).
The temperature was first set to 37°c. when reached temp the thermometer read 37.6°c.
The temperature was then set to its max temp of 60°c, when it reached temp, the thermometer read 58.8˚c.
