Description
This Darwin Chambers Insect Rearing Chamber Model: IN024-DA was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.
The item is in reasonable cosmetic condition but there are signs of prior use on the exterior. These include stains and other marks from handling.
The interior's sides and back panels are clean but the bottom panel is stained and has moisture marks. The seal on the door has signs of mould.
Internal dimensions:
65cm D x 60cm W x 154cm H
The item powers on and the manual states the chamber's operating range as between 20-28˚C. It was tested with a digital thermometer (not included).
When set to 20˚C, the display showed 18.9˚C and the thermometer measured 18.4˚C
When set to 28˚C, the display showed 22.7˚C and the thermometer measured 23.1˚C
After reaching the above temperature it didn't rise beyond 23˚C in the five hours it was switched on.
