Zeiss LSM880 Inverted Confocal Microscope with Airyscan
This item is sold on behalf of a client where it is surplus to requirements.
This system is in good cosmetic condition and was fully functional when decommissioned. It has been professionally packed in crates and stored for approximately 18 months following decommissioning from an active research environment. The system was maintained under a Zeiss service contract and remains fully supported by Zeiss until 1st October 2027, after which it will receive ‘best effort’ support.
The system comprises the following:
- 34-channel detection system, including 2x PMT and 1x 32-channel GaAsP detectors
- Airyscan super resolution detector
- Axio Observer 7 inverted microscope stand (tentative)
- Transmitted light (T-PMT) detector
- Objectives: 10x/0.45, 20x/0.8, 40x/1.2 W (63x objective not included)
- Excitation lasers: 405, 458, 488, 514, 561, 594, and 640 nm
- HXP 120 widefield illuminator with filter cubes
- Full incubation chamber with temperature and CO₂ control
- Dedicated PC running Zeiss Zen Black software (latest version at decommissioning), upgraded to Windows 10
It is available for collection from Hertfordshire, UK, but we may be able to offer shipping for an additional fee. A site visit to inspect the equipment may be arranged for serious buyers.

Delivery
For collection only. Collections must be during our working hours (08:00-16:30 Monday to Friday). If you require packing and palletising for your collection, please contact us in advance for a price.

Class 3 lasers are classified as potentially hazardous devices that emit visible or invisible radiation. Direct exposure to the laser beam can cause damage to the eyes or skin. Safety precautions must always be followed during operation or exposure to prevent injury.
UniGreenScheme require signing of a Waiver Document to acknowledge the risk and outline the proposed use of the equipment. Completion of this Waiver is required prior to Dispatch. Waiver covers items with intended use, and those intended as "parts only".
Return policy
Buy with confidence. If you wish to return the item, for whatever reason, you may do so within 45 days subject to our terms and conditions. International buyers will have to pay return shipping.
