This JEOL JEM2011 is being sold on behalf of a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.


The system is was decommissioned in August 2023. The scintillator in the Gatan Multiscan Camera is coming to the end of its life and the Oxford EDX system has not been used in a very long time as the lab was unable to source a PC with the right connectors to support it.


The pole piece is URP22_11.


The system has now been decommissioned by JEOL and is ready for collection in Fife, Scotland.

This item is sold on behalf of a client where it is surplus to requirements.


This system is in good cosmetic condition and in complete working order.


It has been under a Thermo Fisher service contract since installation in January 2018, with annual preventative maintenance checks. The most recent service was carried out on 09/10/2023, and the chiller was repaired in January 2025. The system was taken out of use shortly after in preparation for installation of a new TEM.

Single tilt sample holder

Fischione room temperature tomography holder (±70° tilt range, available for inclusion)

Air-cooled water chiller

Two computers: one for microscope operation and one networked support PC for remote engineer access


The system has been professionally decommissioned and prepared for transport. It is ready for reinstallation by a suitably qualified transmission electron microscope service provider.


A recommendation for a trusted recommissioning specialist can be provided upon request, with on-site setup available at an additional cost.
