Description
Hitachi S-4700 SEM Scanning Electron Microscope System
This is sold on behalf of a university lab. It is surplus to requirements.
The SEM was running until about three years ago, then it was just down due to a vacuum leak. It is believed that it simple a perished tune inside the machine. We do not believe that there is anything else wrong with it. The University decided not to maintain the instrument, so it has been shut down ever since. The SEM has a Gatan cryo-stage attachment and plenty of documentation and spares.
The microscope is still installed in the location in Edinburgh and has not yet been decommissioned or moved.
Delivery
For collection only. Collections must be during our working hours (08:00-16:30 Monday to Friday). If you require packing and palletising for your collection, please contact us in advance for a price.
