Description
This George Rogers & Sons London Upright Piano is being sold on behalf of a client. It is surplus to requirements.
We recently had an appraisal carried out on it and the following was the result;
Rogers Upright (35861) c. 1925 H: 122cms 88 keys Dark mahogany casework tatty but presentable. Tuning Pins are loose but with 3-4mm “tap in” remaining. Needs keys recovering (mid 4 octaves missing ivory). Original action is now in need of complete regulation having had a reface/tape replacement in the ’80s. Pitch 150 cents flat.
Our team also made an assessment:
It is in reasonable, used cosmetic condition but it does have various scrapes/marks and signs of use. The pedal mechanisms are not working as they should but all keys do appear to work properly. 22 White keys are missing part of the top cover and 4 are slightly chipped. The top soundboard cover is also missing a small bit of trim wood.
