Description
- This tunnel was constructed from scratch by a university Technicians.
- Initially it was designed as a Gust Tunnel; a large flap inside the tunnel exposed the model to airflow in "gusts".
- Possibly because of the nature of the gusts, the fan actually blows air into the tunnel.
- At some point the "gusts" facility was removed and the tunnel was used for control dynamics investigations.
- The motor and control box are only about 4 years old, which means in the University environment they're practically brand new.
- Maximum airspeed is around 12m/s
