The Fluosorber consists of a canister containing activated carbon, which absorbs anesthetic gas extremely efficiently. It is used with the Fluovac to scavenge anesthetic waste from the working environment, and is quickly and simply attached to the Fluovac unit. The Fluosorber’s capacity to scavenge is measured by weight: Simply pre-weigh canister and change once it has increased 200 grams. During manufacturing each Fluosorber is tested to ensure an air flow of 60 liters per minute with a flow resistance not exceeding 2.0 cmH2O. When exhausted, the Fluosorber is sealed in the special bags provided and can then be completely incinerated.
