Description
This Emerson Industrial Automation Controller was removed from a university where it was surplus to requirements.
This unit referred to as the 'drive train' essentially converted mechnical power from a 50kW wind turbine into electrical energy to be returned to the national grid.
The unit is untested as the main power cable has been cut, however it appears to be in good cosmetic condition.
It was manufactured in 2011, and we have lots of documentation relating to its use - invoices, technical specifications etc.
Of course, the wind turbine is not included, but the documentation also refers to a PC which is not included either. So we think either this will need to be setup for use as a power converter, or possibly used for individual components.
