Description
This Ademco 2226 Dry Mounting and Laminating Heat Press was removed from a museum workshop where it was surplus to requirements.
The unit powers on and heats up as it should, and the thermostat operates as required. When tested with our digital thermometer the temperature topped out at 190C with the temperature control knob at maximum.
The only issue is that the temperature gauge is reading incorrectly and is likely faulty. The gauge was reading about 100C higher than the actual temperature. The needle was on the underside of the stop and had gone completely round. This gauge has an attached capillary sensor so it will need to be replaced as a whole unit.
The unit is in good cosmetic condition with only light usage marks.
