This Vacu-Honer DH 883 Sand Blasting Cabinet was removed from a university engineering workshop where it was surplus to requirements.

The unit was in use up until recently. We have been informed it is still in working order, though it has not been tested at our site. Apparently it gets blocked up from time to time and so needs regularly shaking but otherwise works.

The unit dates from the early 1960s but is in good condition for its age. It does have signs of age and usage.

The door is a sliding steel type with counterbalance weights. The door opening is 71 x 32 cm.

The cabinet is 90 x 74 x 69 cm and the glass to the cabinet is in good condition with no cracks.

It requires a 415v / 3 phase power supply to operate. The bulkhead lights in the cabinet have their own 240v connection.

There are fixed thick rubber gloves fitted and blasting and blow-off nozzles in the cabinet which are operated by a foot pedal. The maximum operating pressure is 150 psi, as indicated on the gauge. The air feed is currently fitted with a broomwade air coupler but is easily changed to suit your own connection type. There is also a water trap fitted to the line.
