This Startrite EFI FGR 7104 Heavy Duty Pillar Drill was removed from a university workshop where it was surplus to requirements.

We were informed by the university that it was in working order and was simply replaced by a newer piece of equipment. It has not been tested at our site. The main power switching unit has a broken stop button, so a new unit button will be required. The unit will also need assessment for any additional guards it may need to reach modern standards under PUWER or other regulations - we have not carried out this assessment so this will need to be assessed by the buyer.

The unit is in good condition for its age, dating from the early 1960s, but does have age and usage-related marks.

The bed size is 79 x 48. It has a drill speed range from 75-2800 rpm. It requires a 415v / 3 phase power supply to operate. It has a 1.9hp motor.

It has a suds cooler for drilling and the head takes morse taper type fittings.

Please note this unit is very heavy, and the quoted delivery assumes that you have a forklift available and delivery will be by a curtainsided lorry which you would need to forklift unload.
