Description
This Bio-Tek uQuant Microplate Spectrophotometer μQuant was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.
The unit is in reasonably good, used cosmetic condition but it does have various marks and signs of use.
The unit powers up fine although it requires a 24volt PSU (not included).
It runs a self-test on startup which fails and shows '0201 error'. This is a Y-Axis error. We cannot get it to do anything else due to this error.
From the manual:
"Y-axis (carrier left/right) motor did not find the home sensor A motor was not able to move to its “home” position as registered by feedback from an optical sensor. Probable Causes: • Bearings on the Y-axis rails are dirty and worn and causing too much friction. • Defective or broken optical sensor. • Defective motor controller PCB or cable. • Carrier not able to move into read chamber. Check the carrier’s path for obstructions."
