Description
This Thermo Scientific Revco EXF -86 Laboratory Freezer Model - 8925 EXF32086V was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.
The unit powers up but has not been tested further. The door was locked without a key and had to be removed. The lock now has no barrel and the door doesn't close properly. It is showing 'door open' on the light panel. We have figured out that this is something to do with the magnet on the door mechanism as it has possibly dropped too far inside the handle for the sensor on the freezer side to register. If you place another magnet between them, the door open light goes off.
It also does not appear to be dropping in temperature at all. The compressor is running. The site it came from told us that it may require a new battery.
