Description
This Edwards 30 E2M30 Rotary Vane Dual Stage Mechanical Vacuum Pump was removed from a university lab during a clearout.
The unit powers up and has been inspected by an engineer. Upon initial inspection, the pump was found to be seized and the drive coupling rubber had disintegrated. After fully stripping the pump, the pump blades were found to have seized into the rotors, leading to 2nd stage drive pin shearing. The blades will require rubbing down and the drive pin replacing. All other mechanical parts are in serviceable condition.
The pump will require rebuilding with a C/O Kit, following which it will perform to a good specification.
We were provided a quote for this work, however for us it was deemed not economical. Unit is sold as spares/repairs.
