Description
This Grant GR150 Recirculating Water Bath Chiller was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.
The unit powers up and has been tested with a digital thermometer (not included).
Set to -10ºC our thermometer showed -9.6ºC.
Set to 10ºC our thermometer showed 10ºC.
Set to 37ºC our thermometer showed 37ºC.
Set to 100ºC(max) our thermometer showed 101.3ºC.
We filled it with antifreeze and tested the minimum temperature. It was set to -20ºC but it wouldn't drop past -10ºC. We think the antifreeze froze inside the re-circulator pipe.
All of these temperatures were reached quickly without any issues.
It's in reasonably good cosmetic condition but has some scale build up.
We stripped down the cooling fan and greased both ends of the shaft then rebuilt it. It runs silently.
