Description
This Roche MagNA Pure 96 & Roche Hamilton FLOW PCR System was removed from a university laboratory where it was surplus to requirements.
The two machines are:
- Hamilton Robot – used for removing samples from tubes into 96 well plates and setting up PCRs
- Magnapure96 – extraction robot that can perform 96 extractions in around 1hr-1hr30 mins
We also have the flow flex software that has never been installeded – this can read the barcodes on the initial sample tubes and track them through the whole process.
The department had purchased the system under a service contract, which the machine is covered with via Roche until 21st September 2022.
The department calculated that the remaining value on the service contract was £15k - however part of this value will need to go against a check over of the machine according to Roche.
Included in the system is:
1 x Roche MagNA Pure 96 Unit.
The unit is in good, used cosmetic condition but it does have a piece broken off the back casing. It will not affect the operation of the unit. The part is with it, so could probably be glued back on.
The unit powers up fine but we were unable to test any further.
The cupboard below the main unit contains the following items:
2 x Yellow plastic waste containers.
1 x MagNA Pure 96 system fluid (External) container.
