This Varian 800 FT-IR Spectrometer Scimitar Series was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.
The unit was reportedly in working order before being put into storage a number of years ago. It is likely that parts such as the beamsplitter may have degraded over time, even without use, but we are unable to confirm this.
It is in reasonable cosmetic condition but has quite a bit of staining. We have tested it to power up.
