Description
This Bruker IFS 66 FT-Raman Spectrometer System was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.
This system came out of a university lab. The unit was working prior to being disconnected but there were issues with the PC controllers.
The system consists of many components :-
1 x BRUKER IFS 66 & BRUKER FRA 106 combination.
Both units powered on and the fans could be heard running. No further was carried out at our facility.
1 x COHERENT LASER PSU
We were unable to power this up as the key was missing.
1 x COOLANT COOLER UNIT.
This unit powered on and the fans could be heard to operate. It houses a radiator and other components. No further was carried out at our facility.
BRUKER IFS Electronics Unit.
The unit powered on. The fan could be heard running. No further was carried out at our facility.
DELL PC.
The unit powered on but there was no hard drive inside and we suspect other components/cards are missing. No further was carried out at our facility.
ACER MONITOR.
The unit powers on and works as should.
POWER TRANSFORMER.
Unit powers on and works as should. It has a european multi-socket attached for five plugs. It has an illuminated on/off switch that works.No further was carried out at our facility.
NIKON ELECTRON MICROSCOPE OPTIHOT-2
This unit is mounted in its own cupboard, on a sliding base, with PSU's for the SONY CCD IRIS video camera and light units.
The camera powers on but No further was carried out at our facility.
The lights for the scope and the others fitted all work.
There are five objectives fitted to the scope :-

JUN-AIR 2000 COMPRESSOR.
When we powered this on, smoke started to come from the wire junction box on top of the motor. It looks as if someone has been in this box as wires are loose and connections are undone.
AIR FILTER/WATER TRAP unit. Powers on. Fan running. No further was carried out at our facility.
ROTA REGULATOR Untested as requires air pressure to test.
AIR LINES To allow connection to units.
There is also a storage case with many floppy discs with drivers etc for the unit and folders with instruction manuals and various screws and washers in storage boxes.
The overall condition of the system is good. It is in good clean condition but does show some signs of age and use.
It is sold for spares/repairs as it will take some work to get it back to a working condition.
