Description
This Beckman Coulter DU800 UV/VIS Spectrophotometer was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.
It is in good cosmetic condition and powers up.
The unit has been inspected by a service engineer, a summary of the report is as follows:
Single-beam spectrophotometer with 6-cuvette holder connected to the switcher via a serial connector.
Tungsten and D2 lamps fail to power on; tungsten lamp fluctuates briefly before turning off, despite being functional.
The suspected issue is with the main board section controlling lamps, as the power to the lamp fluctuates between 9-2 V before stopping.
