The microscope is in reasonably good cosmetic condition but some issues were found during servicing.

• Fluorescence attachment & mercury lamphouse present but no mercury power supply starter.

• 2 filter cubes present – U-MWG2 & U-MWB

• Some evidence of corrosion due to salt or other liquid.

• Coarse focus very stiff – clutch lever stuck fast.

• Transmitted light power supply is good.

• Eyepiece adjusters are stuck.

The unit does not power up. We have tested the continuity and found no issues, but we are unable to find the cause of the issue. The power supply for the lamp is a visual PAT test fail due to exposed wires and also does not power the lamp.

It powers on using a power supply from a different item, but no power supply is included. Bulbs are in full working order. The item is in good cosmetic condition.

As it is not a complete microscope, it is listed as Spares/Repair.

The systems was professionally serviced and the following was discovered.

• No evidence of salt corrosion detected.

• DIC nosepiece present but objectives missing.

• External power supply working & remote cable present.

• Some damage to condenser lens (LWD 0.52) detected – not detrimental to image quality.

• No phase or DIC modules present within condenser & no blanking plates fitted.

• No fluorescence attachment or filter slider.

• Focus spindle gear is cracked.

• Some external shutters and filter wheels but incomplete.

• Has an Orbit Monochromator controller – incomplete.

• Missing stage plates.

• Front photo port bung missing.
