Buchi GKR-50 Glass Tube Drying Oven Lab

This Buchi GKR-50 Glass Tube Drying Oven was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.

The unit powers up and has been tested with a digital thermometer (not included).

We set the temperature to around 37˚c on the dial and the thermometer went up to 35˚c. We then turned it up to 100˚c, and the thermometer read 80˚c, finally, we turned it up to 200˚c and the thermometer reached 167˚c.

It is in reasonably poor cosmetic condition and has lots of marks from use as well as rust.

The item is in very good cosmetic condition. It has its original box/packaging, which it was removed from to take photos. The accessories were also still in their original packaging and seemed unused.

The item powered on without issue. It began to beep emitting a sharp and loud repeated beep.

The item powers on with shaker speed running up to a maximum of 990rpm. The temperature was tested with a digital thermometer (not included). The temperature was first set to 37˚c which it reached after around 15 minutes. The temperature was then set to its maximum of 50˚c which it reached about 10 minutes later.
