Becton Dickinson FACSCalibur Flow Cytometer System 1997.
This item was removed from a lab during a clear out.
The lab manager informed us the unit was in good working order when last used, but the PC failed - and they struggled to get the system installed on a new computer.
Unit powers on and seems to function on some sort of level.
The PC card had been removed and is apparently faulty according to the lab staff.
We put it into the mac to test what was wrong with it.
The machine doesn't seem to acknowledge the connection between the mac and itself.
The mac is in pretty rough shape.
You have to open it and turn on the power from the board.
The case is also very brittle.
There is software for the unit installed on the mac.
But we couldn't get it to interface with the unit properly.
The unit itself is in fairly rough condition, rust spots on it etc.
Lid doesn't stay open.
We had to prop it for the photos
