This Labnet Prism Microcentrifuge Model C2500 was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.

The unit powers on and is in good cosmetic condition. The lid engages and disengages automatically when stopping and starting the unit.

We ran it at 3000rpm for 5 minutes, 6000 rpm for 3 minutes and the max of 15000 rpm but it wouldn't go higher than 10100rpm. However we did not run it with a rotor as we do not have a rotor for this unit.

There is no rotor supplied with the unit.

Sorvall Kendro Biofuge Pico 13,000RPM Centrifuge with Rotor

This was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.

The unit powers up and has passed PAT testing. The display and the safety mechanisms all work faultlessly.

The unit operates very well. It has a 3325B rotor installed that has a maximum rpm of 13,000 rpm. It can hold 24 sample tubes of 2ml capacity -12mm dia x 45mm long.

The item is in good usable condition but does have age and usage-related marks.

Jouan A14 Benchtop Laboratory Centrifuge Type: 11174542 with 14000rpm Rotor Lab

This Jouan A14 Benchtop Laboratory Centrifuge Type: 11174542 with 14000rpm Rotor was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.

The unit is in good cosmetic condition but it has some light stains on the lid and side panels. The Interior and rotor are clean.

The rotor has 20 sample spaces, it accepts 2ml vials. It is rated at 14000rpm.

It powers up fine and has been tested at a few different speeds. The numbers don't necessarily match up with the RPM of the unit.

Set at 3, the centrifuge hit 5800 RPM.

Set to 9, the centrifuge hit 11500 RPM.

Set to max of 14000, the centrifuge hit 14200 RPM.

Heraeus Biofuge Pico Centrifuge with 3324 Rotor Lab

This Heraeus Biofuge Pico Centrifuge with 3324 Rotor was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.

The unit powers on and is in good cosmetic condition. There are some light tape marks from general use. The lid opens, the brake works and all buttons appear to be responsive. The LCD screen is working and displays clearly.

The unit was tested at the max speed of 13000rpm and ran smoothly.

The unit has the following rotor fitted;

The unit powers up and is in working order but the gas strut for the lid has failed.

It is in otherwise good cosmetic condition with minor marks.

Denley Refrigerated Centrifuge Model BR401 with Rotor Lab 901306 microplate

This Denley Refrigerated Laboratory Centrifuge Model BR401 was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.

The unit powers on and appears to be in full working order. It ran up to the max of 2000rpm and was tested with a digital thermometer (not included).

When set at 4ºC our thermometer measured 8.6ºC

We believe the slight variation is due to the positioning of our external probe, whereby the internal probe is fixed under the rotor, hence showing a lower temp. We have reason to believe the units cooling function works.

When set at -30ºC our thermometer measured -12.2ºC. We believe this is the lowest this model is meant to achieve.

It is in good cosmetic condition with some marks from use.

ALC Multispeed Refrigerated Centrifuge PK 121R . 11172023 + ALC Rotor T521 Lab

This ALC Multispeed Refrigerated Centrifuge Model - PK 121R Cat no. 11172023 was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.

The unit powers up and was set to the rotor max of 4300rpm. It runs smoothly. The centrifuge is capable of 14000RPM. It was tested with a digital thermometer (not included). The temperature was set to its minimum of -10˚c and it dropped as low as -8˚c after running for an hour. The thermometer was reading -20˚c.

It is in reasonably good cosmetic condition with marks from use.
