We set the temperature to 37˚c which it reached quickly (the thermometer reading was slightly higher), then we set to it's maximum temperature of 85˚c, which again reached quickly and the thermometer was reading 88˚c.
The unit is in reasonably good cosmetic condition with some marks from use.

This Gene-Technologies G-Storm Thermal Cycler was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.
The unit is in reasonable cosmetic condition but has some large cracks and damage on the face plate. It has 4 x 96 Well Blocks for 0.1mL vials.
The unit powers up but the back RHS heat block lid has an unknown error. We think that possibly the motor has broken and the lid is stuck down. The front RHS block is working but the lid mechanism is struggling and has to be opened and closed manually.
We created a new cycle and tested each working block using our digital thermometer (not included).

The rest of the system seems to be working fine, and the screen is clear. The camera seems to be working but we were unable to effectively test it due to the UV transilluminator not working properly.

There are no other noticeable cosmetic issues. The interior is clean with minor signs of prior use and the rotor is in good condition.
The item powers on and the rotor sped up and slowed down in accordance with the dial inputs.
The oven was tested with a digital thermometer (not included).
The temperature was set at 37˚C, the display showed 37˚C and the thermometer 41.6˚C
The temperature was set at 67˚C, the display showed 67.1˚C and the thermometer 70.2˚C

The unit powers up and has been tested with a digital thermometer (not included). We managed to activate the three blocks and test them at the temperature they were already set at. We weren't sure how to change the settings At the moment Block 1 = 42C maximum, Block 2 = 99C maximum and Block 3 = 70C maximum. All the blocks heated well and accurately to the setting. It was not tested further.
The tube wells are 7.5mm in diameter.
