CyBio CyBi Well Vario Pipetting Robot System - 96-Head & 384-Head

The unit is in excellent cosmetic condition. It has not been serviced or used for several years but was in good working order prior to this.

It also has incorporated a small robotic arm that can pick up racks/plates and a capper/decapper for microtubes (FluidX or Matrix) with septum seals.

We have installed a new HDD with Windows 7 on the PC.

The CyBio Composer V2.10 software is included and also installed on the PC.

The unit is in good used cosmetic condition. It has been set up with a Dell PC system operating on Windows XP, and connects smoothly to the BMG Galaxy 4.10-0 software. Functional tests included the operation of the microplate tray and setting the temperature to 37ºC. Based on these checks, the system appears to be fully operational.

This system was removed from a lab as it was no longer required.

It was in full working order prior to removal from the lab.

An engineer from Pacific Biosciences prepared the system for removal from the lab, including removing all the systems cladding, but unfortunately had to cut a few cables between the main unit and the environmental chamber.

Whilst the blade server is included with the system, it has been wiped, so software may need reinstalling if you intend to use the system in full again.

Strangely the information plate on the back of the unit just says 'PacBio RS' and not 'PacBio RS II' as would be expected, but the lab called it an RS II, and the cladding on the front says RS II, so we presume this is RS II.

The engineer said that whilst getting the unit up and running again might be difficult, there is an enormous value of the system in parts. Apparently the camera part alone cost £125k.

We have not removed any parts from the system whatsoever.

Due to limitations with testing Class 3+ lasers at our facility, we were unable to carry out functionality tests on the main Rock Imager unit. Therefore, the RI-1000 has not been powered on or PAT tested.

Both chiller units have been powered on and have passed PAT testing.

Please note: The main RI-1000 unit appears to require adjustment or repair, as the inner chamber is off-centre when compared to another unit from the same project (50334).
