It comprises an Instron 8501 servo hydraulic test frame integrated with a vacuum furnace, designed for high-temperature materials testing. The load train area is fully enclosed within the furnace, allowing use at temperatures up to 1600°C. Due to the internal Molybdenum fixturing, the system must be operated under vacuum conditions, as oxidation occurs rapidly above 400°C in air. The maximum compressive load achievable at 1600°C is 1 kN.

This system does not include an Instron controller or hydraulic power supply, therefore, it is listed as Spares/Repair.
