New Brunswick Scientific U570-86 Ultra Low Temperature Freezer Lab

This item was removed from a university laboratory where it was surplus to requirements.

The item powers on and is in a reasonable used cosmetic condition.

It includes 4 shelves but has only 4 pegs, so only one shelf can be fitted currently. There are only two doors at the bottom.

During testing, the freezer was set to its minium temperature of -86ºc, but would not drop below -19ºc.

Therefore, it is listed as Spares/Repair and no further testing was conducted.

Astell ASA240 Floorstanding Autoclave

This item was removed from a university laboratory where it was surplus to requirements.

It powers on and is in reasonably good cosmetic condition externally. However, the internal plastic lid cover supports have been snapped off to release the lock and remove the lid.

This allows access, but the unit remains inoperable for standard use. Therefore, it is sold as Spares/Repair.

As displayed, it is in poor cosmetic condition internally.

Biosafe Smart-Max AS-310 Automated Stem Cell Cyroprotectant System Lab

This item was removed from a university where it was surplus to requirement.

It is in good cosmetic condition and powers on, but the screen remains blank. Also, it fails to communicate with a PC and emits a burning smell.

It is in good cosmetic condition externally and powers on, however, when tested we attempted to run the unit with a 70Ti rotor (not included), but encountered cooling system and speed sensor errors.

Also, oil was discovered under the rotor and in the chamber/motor area, possibly due to a worn seal.

Due to the above faults, this item is listed as Spares/Repair.

The 3-phase plug has been removed and there is no rotor included in the sale.

Thermo Scientific Forma 8694 -86°C Double Compartment ULT Freezer Lab

This item was removed from a university laboratory where it was surplus to requirements.

It powers on and is in good cosmetic condition, however, during testing, the unit powered on but emitted buzzing sounds followed by hissing and smoke.

Thermo Scientific Savant SPD1010 SpeedVac Concentrator With AC-1 Phase Motor

This item was removed from a university laboratory where it was surplus to requirements.

The Savant SPD1010 SpeedVac powers on but encounters issues during operation. The lid fails to lock when a program is initiated, and although the rotor slightly moves, it does not fully run.

The AC-1 Phase motor operates correctly when tested independently but does not power on when connected to the SpeedVac.

Due to these issues, this unit is listed for spares or repair.
