This system was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirement.

All components are in good cosmetic condition, although the inner glass surface is cloudy.

The IKA stirrer, powers on and initiates paddle rotation. However, vibrations are noticeable when the speed exceeds 350rpm. After removing the paddle, the stirrer runs smoothly up to its maximum speed of 2000rpm.

The vibration issue may stem from misalignment with the vessel or vessel lid, an imbalance in the impeller, or the stand needing leveling.

The unit has some faults as confirmed by the lab

On arrival system was in fault mode with 'laser interlock' error. Restarted the laser through marathon control and tested. The laser started to fire but then the high voltage switched off. Tested HV supplies and found that the ISS could only reach 19kv instead of the required 25kv. Suddenly the system started working again and peaks were seen on the sample BUT the system has 2 issues that are intermittent.

The microscope powers on and produced a clear slide image when tested with an in-house objective (not included).

It is in good cosmetic condition, however, the protective visor has snapped off. This does not affect its functionality.

Both Van Der Heijden chillers powered on, displaying ambient temperatures.

The Gast vacuum pump powered on, demonstrating strong vacuum force.
