This job lot of items comes from a variety of university laboratories. The items were no longer required, collected from various store rooms and facilities.

None of these items have been tested at our site - it is likely that some will be spares/repairs, but we anticipate that a reasonable amount should operate well.

None of these items have been PAT or electrical safety tested. For this reason, we have marked these as spares/repairs as they should not be used without appropriate electrical safety checks.

The unit powers on; however, it did not cool below -71°C during testing. - It may not reach lower temperatures.

It is therefore listed as Spares or Repair.

Sanyo MCO-20AIC CO₂ Incubator Double Stack

This item was removed from a facility where it was surplus to requirements.

Both incubators were left to stabilise at 37°C for 24 hours and successfully passed temperature testing at 37°C and 50°c..

However, both units showed issues during CO₂ testing:

• Top unit: Displays E01 when attempting to inject CO₂.
• Bottom unit:Set to 5% CO₂ and displayed 5.0%; however, our independent CO₂ analyser measured approximately: 5.4% following an attempted calibration

Due to the CO₂ control issues, the system has not passed full functional testing and is being sold as Spares or Repair.

Gerstel MPSxt 2 XL Twister Multipurpose Sampler – Spares/Repair

This item was removed from a laboratory where it was surplus to requirements.

The unit is in good cosmetic condition and powers on. During calibration, the sampler begins its sequence but fails with the error “Limit Switch not found – Motor Z Reference Fault.” This fault causes the syringe to continue moving without stopping while raising or lowering, resulting in a loud hammering sound.

Due to this operational issue, the sampler is offered as Spares/Repair.

Several accessory trays are included with the unit (see images).

Gilson 157 UV-VIS Detector Model 14100001

This item was removed from a facility where it was surplus to requirements.

The unit powers on, however, the front display does not illuminate.

During testing, internal servo movement could be observed and the lamp housing warmed during operation.

The detector may be capable of control via compatible PC software; however, this has not been verified at our facility.

Due to the non-functional display and limited functional testing, the unit is being sold as Spares or Repair.

Davis 45V Non-Entraining Magnetic Separator

This item was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirement.

It is in good cosmetic condition considering its age and powers on, we are unable to test it further at our facility.

Although it has failed the visual PAT, this is due to it having exposed single insulated wires, which is typical given its age.

Bright Model OTF Cryostat / 5040 Microtome

This item was removed from a facility where it was surplus to requirements.

The unit is in good working order overall.

Please note that the electric/drive rotary handle is not functioning correctly. It jumps, becomes stuck and does not run smoothly.

The unit has otherwise been found to operate as expected during testing.

Haier LX-165T2R High-Speed Refrigerated Benchtop Microcentrifuge

This item was removed from a facility where it was surplus to requirements.

The unit powers on; however, it is currently displaying the following error message:

“Error: Output Protection of the Driving Module”

No rotor is included, so the centrifuge has not been tested further.
