The system has been professionally serviced and is in full working order. The PC does continually come up with a server busy message, and we have been unable to resolve that, but there is a workaround.

The system is fitted with a 400mw laser.

The instrument is functioning fine and can run samples smoothly.

Failed PMT Dark Count (Photon Counting) - Failed due to high thermal electron current in the PMT due to high voltage in this mode. This will not affect the functionality of the instrument.

Passed PMT Dark (Charge Integration) and LED Control.

Server Busy message - This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose ‘Switch to’ to activate the busy program and correct the problem.

It is in very good cosmetic condition with only minor marks from use.

This item was removed from a facility where it was surplus to requirements.

The microscope is in very good condition for its age and appears to have been carefully maintained.

The focusing wheels lift and lower the stand but are very stiff, suggesting the mechanism would benefit from cleaning and re-greasing.

All objectives and eyepieces were tested using a sample slide and produced clear images.

The camera system fires, rewinds, and responds correctly to controls on the HFX-II, including the handheld switch and timer. No further testing has been carried out.
