Neither unit has been tested as we don't have the power cable for them. They were last serviced december 2019. We understand they were in use until at least 2021, but may have been offline for some time so it is possible the batteries have failed.
They are in reasonably good cosmetic condition with some marks from use.

This Heraeus Benchtop Laboratory Incubator was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.
The unit has been tested with a digital thermometer (not included) at 5% CO2.
The temperature was first set to 37°c, it took around two hours to reach.
The temperature was then set to its max of 50°c but it only reached as high as 43.7˚c on the thermometer after running for nearly 6 hours.
Our external CO2 Gauge only registered 3.8% CO2 while it was running.

The lab reported:
"It has been sitting unused for a couple of years now and we are looking to get rid of it. As far as I know last time it was used it worked but as I say it has not been used for a while. There is a manual for it but the computer and software for it I do not have."
The unit powered on with the included transformer with no issues. The unit and went through set up. It was not tested further. There is no software included.
The unit is in good cosmetic condition with very few marks. The gas struts for the lid no longer support the lid when open so will need replacing.
A manual is supplied with the unit.

This Gene-Technologies G-Storm Thermal Cycler was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.
The unit is in reasonable cosmetic condition but has some large cracks and damage on the face plate. It has 4 x 96 Well Blocks for 0.1mL vials.
The unit powers up but the back RHS heat block lid has an unknown error. We think that possibly the motor has broken and the lid is stuck down. The front RHS block is working but the lid mechanism is struggling and has to be opened and closed manually.
We created a new cycle and tested each working block using our digital thermometer (not included).

It has DIC and Phase Contrast, which can be changed manually. The DIC contrast ranges are 3-.4 and 5-1.4. The Phase contrast ranges are Ph 3 and Ph2.
