Nikon Eclipse Ti-E Motorised Inverted Microscope System

This system was removed from a university laboratory where it was surplus to requirements.

The Andor camera appears highly sensitive to the microscope’s halogen lamp. While all core features function correctly and there are no clear faults.

Automated Cohesion Tester (Custom Built Coal Testing System)

This item was removed from a facility where it was surplus to requirement.

This is a custom-built automated cohesion tester, previously used for field testing of coal materials. The system is designed to perform consolidation and uniaxial unconfined testing on coal samples.

The unit is fitted with a load cell rated at approximately 1–2 kN and includes a Siemens control unit with step controller. Please note; the control system requires programming and setup.

This system was originally built for the Coal Authority, with a limited number of similar units produced.

It has been professionally serviced and deemed to be in full working order, a brief summary of the report is below:

The workstation powers on, initializes successfully, and is in working order. Motion checks for the Varispan, barcode reader, gripper, Peri pump, and syringe pumps were completed without errors. However, tip pick-up and liquid level sensing could not be verified as no tips or system liquid are included. The unit is currently secured with shipping clamps in place.

There is no Software included with this system.

Instron 1122 Universal Testing Machine w/ 3x Load Cells, Accessories

This item was removed from a facility where it was surplus to requirement.

The machine powers on and the crosshead moves both up and down using the controls. The load cell display responds and indicates compression values within an apparently reasonable range when zeroed.

The chart recorder paper feed operates; however, it moves slowly and the machine appears to strain during operation. In addition, the "Pen" button is stuck.
