The unit powers up and is in good working order. A strong airflow was observed, and the inflow needle indicator reached the green safe zone during operation. Interior power sockets were tested and are functional. (Socket tester not included.)

It's been regularly serviced, with its most recent being on: 22.04.24

This Nuaire Labgard Class II Biological Safety Cabinet NU-437-400E Series 6 was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.

The item powers on with blowers and both Light & UV working.

The blower will only work when the sash is at the correct working height. This is marked on the side of the unit. When it is dropped fully the blower switches off as it should. When it is raised above the mark the windows alarm goes off as it should, until the sash is dropped back to the correct working height.

The unit starts up as it should and shows 'low' airflow initially until it builds up to the correct flow. It then raises above the correct flow and the 'HI' alarm sounds. We spoke to a service engineer and they suggested that it will just require calibrating upon installation. It will need commissioning upon installation anyway.

The lab reported that the filter has been removed.

Thermo Scientific VersaCool Refrigerated Circulating Water Bath Lab

ITEM-24423

This Thermo Scientific VersaCool Refrigerated Circulating Water Bath was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.

The unit powers up and is in very good cosmetic condition. It was tested with a digital thermometer (not included).

Heating:-

Tested with water, the temperature was set to 37˚c, the temperature quickly went up to 38˚c while the thermometer read 37˚c. It was then tested up to the maximum temperature (for water) of 90˚c which it reached after around 10 minutes, thermometer also read 90˚c. It can go higher but we didn't want it to boil. It is rated for 150˚C.

Cooling:-

Tested with Antifreeze, the temperature was set to -20˚c, it dropped quite quickly to -8˚c but seemed to stop cooling from there, only dropping a further 0.3˚c over the next few hours. The thermometer read -9.6˚c. This is likely due to the concentration of antifreeze used.

The unit is in reasonable cosmetic condition but has been previously used. The start button is damaged but still works.

The unit powers on and has been tested. It spins up to 4100rpm, but the rotor is rated at 4300rpm. When set to its lowest which is -10 degrees it got down as low as -12. When set to its max which is 40 degrees it displayed 39 and was at 37.

The Rotor number displayed T515.

The Buckets Serial number is 0306/01.

The buckets Cat Number is 11210335.

The number on the bottom of the buckets is Ch. 007027 S.303.

The bucket adaptors inside the buckets were numbered ALC R2035 & the Cat Number is 11172435.

The ALC 2035 Adapter is for 50ml tubes.

This Atlas Copco Workplace Air System Type - GA5 was removed from a university lab where it was surplus to requirements.

The item is in a reasonable, used cosmetic condition but we were unable to test it at our facility. It will require a cable and plug fitting.

While the system is operational a number of issues were found during a service. The service was then abandoned. It is sold for spares/repairs.

The inside of the machine was found to be oily, the oil level was too high and there was water in the oil, the drive belts are cracked and need

replacing and the oil cooler fan is seized. Water was found in the oil. The main cooling fan is seized - this needs replacing. The compressor looks to have been stood for some-time.

Specs;

Year 2005, 10 bar, 11.5l/s 0.69m3/m 5.5kw 3 phase. 308kg.
