The unit runs to 13,200rpm, but is noisy between 4,000rpm and 9,000rpm. It is quiet above and below these speeds.
It sounds like the noise is caused by lid vibrations.
Unit also has a small fault with the LCD Screen - part of it doesn't light up and the second digit doesn't display certain numbers properly - but it is still useable.

Eppendorf Model 5810R Refrigerated Centrifuge Lab Equipment

This centrifuge powers on but will not run. It shows 'Error 6' when trying to start.
'Error 6' shows in user manuals as mains power voltage being too low, frequency converter has been overloaded or that the Brake is faulty.
We have checked the power supply which seems okay so we assume the internal converter is faulty and/or the Brake is faulty.
It also will not hold cooled temperature. Max minus temp should be -9°C. This unit cooled down to -7°C but went straight back to +4°C and wouldn't cool back down again.
Due to the above this centrifuge is being sold as Spares or Repair only.
