Perkin Elmer Janus Automated Workstation with Air Science Purair Advanced Ductless Fume Hood

This system was removed from a university laboratory where it was surplus to requirements.

It has been professionally serviced and deemed to be in full working order, a brief summary of the report is below:

The workstation powers on, initializes successfully, and is in working order. Motion checks for the Varispan, barcode reader, gripper, Peri pump, and syringe pumps were completed without errors. The X and Y rails, as well as the gripper Z worm drive, have been cleaned and lubricated. Tip pick-up and liquid level sensing could not be verified as no tips or system liquid are included. The unit is currently secured with shipping clamps in place.

There is no Software included with this system.

The system is housed within an Air Science Purair Advanced Ductless Fume Hood, which powers on with both light and airflow functioning.

This system was removed from a facility where it was surplus to requirements.

Due to safety restrictions regarding Class 3+ lasers at our facility, the system has not been tested.

It is in good cosmetic condition.

The included Dell Optiplex PC contains LAS EZ software (see screenshots). An additional older tower PC and two monitors are also included.

The previous owner stated the system was in good working order prior to removal.\

The machine powers on and the crosshead moves both up and down using the controls. The load cell display responds and indicates compression values within an apparently reasonable range when zeroed.

The chart recorder paper feed operates; however, it moves slowly and the machine appears to strain during operation. In addition, the "Pen" button is stuck.
