The magnet features a high homogeneity central region, previously used for FT-ICR mass spectrometry measurements, and is also suitable for small-scale MRI applications. It is actively shielded with a low fringe field and incorporates a liquid helium cooled coil with an outer liquid nitrogen shield dewar.

The previous owner stated it is in full working order. The system has been refilled and maintained continuously over its lifetime with no issues and no quenches outside of training during charging.
